A Brief Guide to TRICARE’s Coverage for Hearing Aids
Active-duty service members and their families are usually eligible for TRICARE coverage for hearing aids and related services, provided they meet specific audiologic criteria. These criteria are classified based on either a hearing threshold or a speech recognition score.
Retired service members can obtain hearing aids through other government programs, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Retiree-At-Cost Hearing Aid Program (RACHAP).
